A really neat look at Florida landscape before development.
It looks like rocks and trees and stuff but there's a lot going on in the big picture. The signs are informative. Can't wait til they put in the elevated walk
I have been here many times and never get boring. Totally amazing. The wildlife is great. Don't forget your camera!
Buggy when wet. We couldn't get past the first few steps of the boardwalk despite having just sprayed ourselves with repellant. We had to give up as we were completely covered in mosquitoes. Try in winter or a dry day. There was an alligator in the ditch out front, so we did see some wildlife.
Really nice boardwalk trail with plenty of plants, wildlife, and marshland. We saw a few different snakes and alligators under the beautiful tree canopy. Of course there are a few mosquitoes that came along for the ride, so bring but spray.
Love the Loop Road for fishing an nature watching. Plan on plenty of time, more than half is a rough gravel road. Trails are to be found, and lots of animals to see.
